Humanitarian Relief

The Western Cape has experienced an increase in the number of fires and flooding in recent years. Coupled with high poverty and vulnerability rates, the number of households requiring assistance has increased.

The Cape Care Fund supports humanitarian relief efforts in the event of large-scale disasters such as fires, floods, and other emergencies that impact vulnerable communities in the Western Cape.

In these instances, donated funds will be used to provide immediate assistance such as food, water, shelter, hygiene packs, blankets, and other essentials through a network of trusted NPOs. Funds may also be allocated toward medium- and longer-term recovery and rebuilding efforts where communities have experienced significant disruption.
